Artistic Path-good advice from a podcast.

One of my favorite podcast is called Don't keep your day job.  www.dontkeepyourdayjob.com. The Host Cathy Heller interviews successful creators. After each episode there are take away, these are the main points of the episodes. I have taken some of the take away's and translated them into my life and work. So in her words and mine. 

1. Knowing what you do well is key, but knowing what you don't is more important. Go work on it. You have to train and hone your craft. 
2. We need art and craft, it feeds the heart and soul.
3. Be your #1 fan.
4. Write the scene of your success before it even exists - and act like it already does.
5. When we begin a new chapter, there’s excitement but also massive fear and self-criticism. Finding your "why" will help you overcome that fear.
6. The most important life you need to change first is your life.
7. There are areas where you’re an expert, areas where you’re a beginner - and all of them are wonderful and useful.
8. You can pursue multiple passions in one lifetime. Don't discount them.
9. All it takes is one person to raise an army and make a difference.
