The Artistic Path: Be specific
In my last post I talked about being specific. The more Specific you are, the clearer the intention of your piece will be. This is how you develop you eye and your artistic voice.
- If there was a women saving the unicorns who would you be? The answer was a peasant women wouldn't have time to save the unicorns, so it would have to be a women of leisure.
The fussy garb of a upper class in Brussels were the tapestry was made in 1495, would not be suitable for tramping through the woods so
I choose a Linen fabric and embroidered the hem.
A small crown and metal mantel show her social status.
The specific choices make her mission clearer to the viewer.
