The power of the stats

This is a post about the importance of cross referencing your social media.
As an artist you are also a business person.  Social media is a big part of that. The more people that see your work  increases your chances that a art/doll collector will see your work and be interested in purchasing  a piece. See how that works?
So when you post to face book it also links to your blog, twitter and Instagram.
All things should lead to your work.
These are the most recent stats of my blog.
I started the blog in 2012
Page views last month
271
Page views all time history
12,257

So if I look at the stats

  1. most of the traffic is coming from two sources, my website and goggle.
  2. The location of the traffic is most from The USA and Russia.
  3. The key words most searched was Valerie Gladstone,  art Dolls, and Brooklyn Dollworks
  4. The browser most used to find me was Chrome
What does this all mean?

  • All the work I put into branding the name Brooklyn Dollworks, Valerie Gladstone and connecting it to all that I do, like my business cards, and table, has paid off.
  • If I were to spend money on an ad it would be on google and chrome.
I can now channel my social media effort where it will make a difference for my work.
