Still using paper clay

Since the first paper clay head I made was mostly OK. Using what I learned from the head I started again.  The only way I can get any kind of artistry in a sculpt is to practice.  this goes for anything really. many people have a natural ability for things but they still have to practice. 

 I needed to adjust the Bob McKinley armature, it is way too complex for me, and you needed to decide on the pose at the beginning.  Sometimes I want to change the pose, so i came up with a hybrid between an all wire and McKinley. 

This gives me a lot of flexibility, pose-ability. 

I also use a disk on the bottom of the neck so that it can be swiveled, like stuffed animals. 

again she is painted with Oil paint in layers.
